A new season brings new goals! Right now, my goals include reducing my caffeine and alcohol intake. Enter, green tea! I find having a cup of green tea in the afternoon or after dinner to be very calming. Green tea is a treasure trove of antioxidants (decaf contains fewer) and the polyphenols in it can protect against conditions like cancer and heart disease. It may also help with weight loss and memory. However, for me, I appreciate green tea as it allows me to relax. The ritual of making tea and waiting for it to cool before sipping forces me to pause for a few minutes and not focus on all the other daily stressors. Join me and incorporate green tea into your day!
